June 7, 2026

This weekend is Nametag Sunday weekend. On your way into worship stop by the welcome table, grab a nametag, and put it on.  Then, take a moment to introduce yourself to someone you have not yet met.
This weekend at Immanuel is New Member Welcome Weekend. We will be welcoming several new members to Immanuel during worship. Introduce yourself to these new members and give them a personal welcome!

If you have been attending Immanuel Lutheran Church and want to know more about becoming a member, please see us at the Red Wall or speak directly to Pastor Tim or Pastor Bryce. Welcome!

It is VBS week here at Immanuel! Immanuel will be transformed each morning into Rainforest Falls, where kids will be “Exploring the Nature of God.” Take time this week to pray for the kids, volunteers, and leaders involved in this week’s VBS!

The Mission Center, Sanctuary, Gathering Space, meeting rooms, and green spaces will all be in use for VBS every morning of the week. If you have a morning activity that normally takes place at the church campus, please ask your group leader if you will still be meeting this week.

Meeting Agenda
Immanuel hosted a “Lutheran Emergency Response Team” (LERT) training event in 2024 that was attended by many members of Immanuel and other local congregation. In 2025 a group of 23 Immanuel members traveled to Camp Linn Haven in North Carolina in response to damage from Hurricane Helene. Our group did a variety of tasks that made a difference and those who participated saw it as a positive experience.

With everything else going on at Immanuel, the LERT team not been active since then and we were not prepared as a group to immediately offer assistance after the recent tornado in Ringle.

With that in mind, we want to regroup and consider ideas for what LERT at Immanuel could or should look like, including potential non-emergent services we can provide locally.

A brainstorming discussion has been scheduled for Saturday, June 27 from 9-10am in the Gathering Space which is open to all members who want to attend. The next steps for this LERT Ministry Action Team will be determined based on your input. If you are not able to attend and have thoughts or questions, please see us at the Red Wall or contact Brian Hanson.

From Principal Betts via Facebook: Today was the 20th Annual Golf For Kids-Kersten Classic. There were 27 teams that played at Bullseye Golf Club. David Kersten was a blessing to help organize this event for many years. Reata Kersten was the driver behind the scenes to support the golf outing. The Kersten legacy continues today as their daughters Nicole and Krista along with many other family members participated in this golf outing. Congratulations to the winning mixed team of Tyler Dove, Brayden Dove, Laura Walker, and Randy Walker. Congratulations to the mens winners: Jere Trudeau, Tom Huber, Dave Nimtz, and Jeff Rasmussan. Thanks all for your support to Immanuel Lutheran School!
