We kicked off our Fall at Immanuel with a great event last weekend. Students at ILS began to “Make a Joyful Noise” this week as they headed back to school. Other area schools begin this week. Fall activities have started! That means its time for you and your Immanuel family to Grow in Faith together!
Immanuel has reimagined Spiritual Growth times. Please check out the opportunities that will begin next Sunday, September 7. Pick a few classes or groups that work for you throughout the week. Need help registering? See us at the Red Wall, or call us at 715-423-3260.
- Sundays (8:30am to 9:30am or from 10am to 11am): Come earlier or stay later after worship, and enjoy this video-based series that has been a popular choice during Eph4. The series journeys through Sinai, discovering how Jesus called people to live in the Promised Land. We will see what we learn during times of abundance and times of desert. Led by Russ Roquet at 8:30am and Jim Johnston at 10am. Feel free to interchange between class times.
- Sundays (9:30-10:15am): New to faith? New to Immanuel? A long-time member who wants a refresher? Join us each week as Pastor Bryce Clayton leads us in a study of the basics of faith. The topic for the first week is “Who is God?” No signups needed – just stop in each week for a new topic. All adults and youth welcome!
- Sundays (9:30-10:15am): This new Growth ministry will focus on families learning together, growing together, and spending time together. It is structured around a new Bible story each week, so come as often as you are able. Games. Activities. Diving into God’s Word together. Open to anyone but will be geared towards families with kids grade school age or younger. Sign up on Church Center today!
- Mondays (10:00am): Join us at church in the Cypress Room starting September 8 as Jim Johnston leads a study on our awesome God. Scriptures reveal many of His awesome characteristics to us. See how God has worked in and through His people – including you!
Sign up on Church Center today! - Wednesdays (5:00-7:00pm): This weekly night of fellowship and faith enrichment for the whole family meets at our school building each Wednesday night starting September 11. Dinner starts at 5pm. Classes begin at 5:45pm. There is something for everyone: toddlers, kids, youth, and adults!
Parents: we especially encourage your to join the section led by Principal Brian Betts called Parenting Today. Topics include kids and technology, faith in the home, and the unique challenges of parenting in today’s day and age.

Fall is also a great time to explore a new opportunity to Serve Community. There are dozens of opportunities to serve – including many service groups at Immanuel. Check out the partial list here, then head to your Church Center App to join a group that interests you. Stop by the Red Wall for assistance.
• Adult Choir – First practice is Monday, Sept. 8 at 7pm
• Praise Team – Singers and Musicians welcome
• Ushers – Ensure we are organized for worship
• Worship Technology Team – Help with slides, sound, and streaming
• Worship Readers – Read the Old Testament and Epistle verses for worship
• Altar Guild – Prepare and refresh the altar area
• Decorating Group – Decorate our spaces for Christmas and Easter
• Offering Counters – Count and deposit weekly offerings
• Evening Guild – Ladies’ group that embodies service. Supports many individuals and mission projects. Meets the second Tuesday of the month.
• Quilters – Creates quilts to donate for those in need.
• Stephen Ministry – Trained caregivers that listen, care, and encourage.
• Project Compassion – Make a monthly visit to a homebound member
• Feed the People – Help make or serve food at congregational and community events
• Ruby’s Pantry – Help distribute food shares to the community the third Saturday of the month

At Immanuel, we believe that sharing the love of Jesus often starts with a relaxed conversation – meeting your friends and neighbors where they are at in life. Whether its Tuesday morning coffee time or our upcoming Tailgate Party, invite them to come spend some time with you. (OK – the Tailgate Party may not be a quite time of relaxed conversation … but you get the point.)
Saturdays in October will be a great time to invite community to Immanuel. Our events include Oktoberfest, the Craft and Vender Event, Trunk or Treat, and the Harvest Hustle 5K run/walk.

• Weekly Adult Choir practices start Monday, September 8. They take place in the sanctuary on Mondays at 7:00pm.
• The next Project Compassion Meeting is Tuesday, September 16 in the Mission Center. Please RSVP today.
• There are plenty of sales happening for back-to-school supplies. Catch the tail end of the low prices and buy supplies for your Shoebox donations for Operation Christmas Child!
• Immanuel’s Craft and Vendor Event will take place on Saturday, October 11 in the Mission Center. We are down to 8 remaining spaces for booths. Encourage your vendor friends to register for a space while spaces remain. Then, help spread the word for the event!
