Brian Betts ~ September
“Back to School”
September is a time when students return to school and begin another year of learning. This is a time of mixed emotions regarding your experiences as a student in the classroom. For some students, it is a time in which they enjoy coming back and learning new things. They become excited as they grow through the process of being challenged to learn. Others who find learning a challenge may wish that summer would never end.
Perhaps you can relate to these experiences from your own student days. Philippians 4:13 says, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” This verse serves as a reminder to try new things and go through the learning process, as Jesus will be with you always.
Learning is hard work as you learn the terminology and techniques to accomplish something. It can be overwhelming when you do not understand what you are doing, but in this process, God is with you.
This year is the 142nd school year for Immanuel. The techniques and materials used in 2025 differ from those used 142 years ago, but one thing remains unchanged: God’s Word. Immanuel is blessed to have a school ministry where Jesus is taught to students every day.
As students of all ages return to school, remember that God is with you every day and will provide resources to help you learn. As you acquire new knowledge, put it to work making a difference in our world and building up the kingdom of God. Everyone has a job to help Share the love of Jesus, Grow in faith, and Serve the community.
Blessings,
