This past month, Pastor Bryce and I worked together to put on a Home Devotion Workshop. We hope this was beneficial to those who attended. If you missed it but are interested in hearing more about what was shared please reach out to Pastor Bryce or myself. We would love to fill you in and provide you with some resources.

The catalyst for this workshop was a team ministry day our staff attended that focused on family discipleship. During this time we learned about what exactly family discipleship is, how we go about accomplishing it, and the benefits it can bring to the whole Church. We started by looking at how we come to our Christian worldview and how we can go about instilling that in our family (especially when our chidlren are young.) To aid in this, we were presented with two helpful tools that I want to share with you:

This first tool shows how our relationship with our spouse is a reflection of Jesus’s relationship with us.

Sacrificial Jesus died for us, we put our spouse first

Unconditional Jesus loves us through our sin, we promise to hold fast to our spouse

Incarnational Jesus came into the world, husband and wife become one flesh in marriage

These three aspect then only work when they are centered on the cross, God’s love and grace for us.
