This weekend is Nametag Sunday weekend. On your way into worship stop by the welcome table, grab a nametag, and put it on.  Then, take a moment to introduce yourself to someone you have not yet met.
Today’s Congregational Assembly begins at 6pm. The meeting will take place in the sanctuary and online through the link below. Meeting material was emailed to members, and is also available at the Red Wall.

Today is All Saints Day. This is a day we remember those who have died and gone home to heaven since November 2 of last year.

We remember Arlene Falk, Roberta Lord, Mike Schlice, Donna Hanneman, Steven Dallman, Marianne Howard, Joyce Hofer, Jere Michalsen, Diane Lieber, Gail Amacher, Victor Saeger, Merlin Olson, Clarice McCrossen, Edward Hilgard, Ronald Winters, Frances Stake, Pamela Carlson, Dale Hanneman, Steven Janz, Jacob Stoflet, Ginger Jeffery, Victor Hahn, Beverly Luebke, Leona Dhein, and Gary Davis.

Pastor Tim has written his fourth note to the congregation regarding Stewardship: We Give Thee But Thine Own. The message is available in three ways:

Please take a moment to read and consider his message.

Shoebox update:

We are doing great on this year’s Operation Christmas Child shoebox collections. We have only a handful of shoeboxes remaining. We have received numerous items for the children at our school to pack into their shoeboxes. Thank you!

As a reminder, shoeboxes should be returned to Immanuel by Sunday, November 15. Also, please do NOT pack soaps, liquids, toothpaste, food, or candy in your boxes, as those items are not permitted. Pack your box full, and don’t forget to personalize your box with a short note or picture!

Prayers for all the children involved are strongly encouraged. Monetary donations to help pay shipping costs are still welcomed, as well.

Immanuel’s big event is next week! Here is what you can do:

  • Invite your friends and family to attend this great event in our school gym
  • Volunteer to help at the event (link below)
  • Donate food or raffle prizes (links below)
  • Use the event Amazon wish list (link below)

See you there!

A reminder to high school teens and parents: Starting in November, the Sunday Reset is going to have a couple of changes. The first change is with its schedule. On November 8, the Sunday Reset will start taking place every week from 6:30-8:00 PM, but will alternate groups each week. One week will be for our young women, the next will be for our young men. The second change is with our focus. While we will still have an activity each night, we are going to spend more time in Bible Study. Check your email for details.
  • Project Compassion members: your fall meeting is this Wednesday, November 4 at 9am in the Mission Center. Please plan to attend.
  • Immanuel’s 5th grade students will be leading Immanuel Lutheran School’s Veterans Day Program on November 11 from 2:45pm to 3:15pm. We take time to honor and thank the brave men and women who have served our country. Students will share the history of Veterans Day and explain why it is important to recognize and celebrate our veterans. Families and veterans are encouraged to attend.
  • Serve Community by donating blood! Immanuel’s next blood drive is Tuesday, November 17 from noon to 4pm in our Mission Center. Reserve your donation time through the link below.
