Is this Right?
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths.
Proverbs 3:5-6.

Do you ever wish that God would provide a road map or instruction manual to guide us on where we should go and what the best path that He has designed for us in life is? I know there have been times when I wondered if the decision was correct. Our focus will be at school this month to understand how to make wise choices and do what is right. In the Bible, before David became king, he was a servant to King Saul. During this time, Saul becomes jealous of David. The people well loved David, and Saul wanted to kill David. God put David into a situation where he could kill or save King Saul. God gave David the freedom to make his own choice. It was up to David to do the right thing.
So how can we live a life in which our decisions are RIGHT? Here is a strategy to guide you through this process. Responsible for what I am doing, a responsible action? Impact- what I am doing impacts my life and others around me. Goals- Does this decision help me reach a bigger purpose in my life? Honorable- Is the choice something that will show respect to yourself and others around you? True-is the decision true to your values and those of the community you serve? RIGHT
I pray that we use some of the tools to guide the decisions we make in life. The world is a challenging place with many different viewpoints. At Immanuel, one of the things that drives how we make decisions is reflecting on the mission statement. SHARE the love of Jesus, GROW in faith, SERVE community. These are some powerful words for how God’s people can live their lives in service. Look for ways to put this into action, leaning on God for wisdom. Trust God, and He will be with you every step of the way.
In Christ,
