Favorite Bible Verse:

“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son that whoever believes in Him would not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16

I was born and raised in Wisconsin Rapids. I went to St Paul’s Lutheran School, Lincoln High School, and Midstate Technical College. I worked for 15 years at Renaissance Learning, which is where I met my husband, Jeff. I also owned and operated a pottery studio for many years called Under the Sun Pottery Fun, and I am a certified Turbo Kick instructor. After having our two children, I left Renaissance Learning to become a stay-at-home mom. Now that my children are both in school full time, I’m fortunate to be able to work as a teacher’s aide at Immanuel. Our family enjoys camping, and we have two cats named Latte and Lola and a leopard gecko named Sisu.

Our school’s theme this year is “Endure” (Hebrews 12:1-3). Briefly share a time in your life when you felt you needed the endurance that only God can provide. How can you use your experience to share God’s love with the students and families in our school?

My husband and I were excited to start our family. Our first 3 attempts ended with a miscarriage. Prayers definitely helped us to move forward and not lose hope. We kept our faith strong and endured through that difficult time. And now we’ve been blessed with 2 beautiful girls.

If you could take a month to travel anywhere, where would you go?

I love warm weather and beautiful beaches so I would spend my month seeking out as many breathtaking beaches around the world as possible, starting in St Lucia.
