Favorite Bible Verse:

“And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.”   1 Corinthians 13:13

I was born and raised in Wisconsin Rapids and went to a parochial grade school as a child. This opportunity instilled a passion for Jesus love for others, especially children in my everyday life.

I am blessed to be married to my best friend Tim, which I met at the parochial grade school. We are also blessed to have two awesome children, Tyler and Sarah. Sarah is married to Steve. Tyler is married to Bridget and they have 2 children … our grandchildren who were born in 2022 and 2024. Both of our children live in the Green Bay Area.

Both Tyler and Sarah attended Immanuel Lutheran School from Kindergarten – 8th grade. The education they received here is outstanding and has shaped their lives and relationship with Jesus.

In my spare time I like to spend time with my family, go to concerts, read / listen to books and travel … especially to the beach.

I’m grateful and excited to start another year at Immanuel and to help teach and share God’s wonderful love for us.

Favorite Bible Verse:

Our school’s theme this year is “Endure” (Hebrews 12:1-3). Briefly share a time in your life when you felt you needed the endurance that only God can provide. How can you use your experience to share God’s love with the students and families in our school?

God has always been there for me throughout my life, but especially 23 years ago. I was in a very serious car accident. I injured not only my neck but also my lower back. I went through countless hours of tests, doctors, treatments, therapy sessions, etc. over the years. There were several times during those treatments that I just wanted to give up. I prayed that God would help me, to give me strength to endure, to keep going. God has always been present when I needed him… and he always will be.

What types of books do you like to read?

I like to read various kinds of books, depending on my mood. I especially have a soft spot in my heart for children’s books. Some of my favorites are Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, Corduroy, Pete the Cat, etc… I also have an extensive collection of Scholastic children’s books that I have collected over the last 37 years. I also enjoy reading mysteries and educational books.
