What is Youth Ministry?
At Immanuel, Youth Ministry is a way for our Youth (6th-12th grade) to grow together as the body of Christ so that we can share His love with others and serve our community together!
A couple of ways meant specifically for Youth to be involved is through Youth Group and Confirmation.
Youth Group
The Youth Group meets throughout the year to help youth (those in 6th-12th grade) grow in their faith through fun, fellowship, and service. During the school year, the Youth Group meets at Immanuel Lutheran School on Wednesdays from 3:35-5:00 PM. During the summer, the Youth Group meets at different places on Wednesdays, usually from 7:00-9:00 PM.
Some events are specifically for middle school or high school aged youth. If an event is for a specific group, it will be clearly mentioned.

Confirmation
Our Confirmation process has been reimagined from a three year process to a four phase approach. Below you will find the overview of each phase. For full details, please read through the "Confirmation Information" document linked below.
The first phase of Confirmation gives youth a firm foundation in Christ, through the basics of the Christian faith. In this phase, youth will spend time learning the Ten Commandments, the Lord’s Prayer, and the Creed in their homes. With the pastors, they’ll also learn about the Sacrament of the Altar and prepare to receive Holy Communion for the first time.
The second phase of Confirmation teaches youth how to read and understand God’s Word. In this phase, youth will spend time learning how to navigate their own Bibles, learning the overarching story contained in God’s Word, and reading through one of the Gospels.
The third phase of Confirmation shapes youth through Bible studies, activities, and different opportunities, focused on different topics. In this phase, youth will spend time learning about the Christian life, apologetics, and Church history.
The fourth phase of Confirmation prepares youth to stand before the congregation to confess their faith in Christ. In this phase, youth will spend time reflecting on their growth as disciples, making plans to continue growing into the future, and confirming the faith publicly.
